Embarrass Yourself on Purpose

Nobody’s going to embarrass you. You have to volunteer.First time I filmed myself talking about cologne, I felt ridiculous. Grown man, camera in his face, describing how something smells. I almost deleted it three times.Then I posted it anyway.Comfort is a cage with the door open. Nobody’s locking you in — you’re just not walking out. And every time you stay inside, the cage gets a little smaller.Embarrassing yourself on purpose is a skill. Post the fit pic. Start the thing. Say the thing in the meeting. Let people see you trying. Yeah, some folks will laugh. Most of them are sitting in their own cage, watching you walk out of yours.The exposure is the point. You can’t grow where nobody can see you.One win: I posted anyway.One lesson: embarrassment is temporary. Regret isn’t.One next step: do one thing this week that makes you slightly uncomfortable.
